Well Go USA only does limited releases but this says it'll go wide on Sep 6th? 

 

plus I'm not sure how this will do with the NA audiences since it's based on deep Chinese mythology.

Yeah this probably isn't going far, but it is surprising how fast it got a release, and it's coming to IMAX theaters.

Well Go USA usually aligns the North America release dates to the China release dates. Check out their past releases; so this is actually pretty slow.

Well this might also be because they weren't planning on releasing this movie at all until it was a huge hit in China.

seems like this will be Well Go Usa's highest grossing release? made 2.67M so far in NA which is pretty good for a limited release.
