Gopher Posted April 8, 2012 Share Posted April 8, 2012 American Reunion's fatal mistake was advertising itself as the return of a franchise dormant for 8 years rather than a new adventure that could appeal to today's teens/twentysomethings and the franchise's old fanbase. They should have been more focused on trying to reel the 21 Jump Street audience in. Titanic's a three and a half hour movie that's been playing nonstop on TV for over decade. They should have been more focused on trying to reel the 21 Jump Street audience in.But that's sort of what Scream 4 did (it didn't have as much focus on the nostalgia aspect or the original cast) and that bombed as well.
