Onri
Kinobusiness early weekend estimates based on partial sunday data. 779M₽ or 11,7M$ for Suicide Squad. Better than internationally reported 11,3M$. #6 OW all-time. 47% higher than BvS and 25% ahead of Civil War On 06.08.2016 at 11:25 PM, Nova said: How is that 34% drop compared to BvS and CW? Did they drop more or less if you remember? I'm trying to see if the movie is playing like a sequel or not. Daily estimated Th + Fr + Sa + Su = official (except SS) OW: 258M + 170M (-34%) + 182M (+7%) + 164M (-10%) = 779M Suicide Squad (rough daily estimates) 138M + 110M (-20%) + 156M (+41%) + 118M (-24%) = 530M Batman v Superman 179M + 122M (-32%) + 169M (+39%) + 151M (-11%) = 621M Captain America: Civil War 195M + 171M (-12%) + 280M (+64%) + 328M (+17%) = 964M Deadpool On 06.08.2016 at 10:10 AM, MinaTakla said: Hey @Onri- how much can Pets realistically make here in Russia given the anticiipation, relative lack of competition but also the fact that it will have 2 weeks until the school year starts (which may or may not be a factor)? Thanks Hype is strong among adults, but they won't hold it well. I think it has a shot for #2 animation yearly and 1B₽. It will be fantastic for original animation. Can it break out like Zootopia? I'd say no. It has hype and funny cute animals, but for more it need also great WOM. But it can be enough for huge opening with average legs and 1,2-1,3B₽ total. So 15-17M$, but 20M$ is absolutely possible. And better ask Juni, he's guru here I have only available data and my opinion Edited August 8, 2016 by Onri Sunday fall corrected

juni78ukr
Surprisingly good hold for Suicide Squad with around 60 mln RUB on Thursday. After incredibly frontloaded OW might be the lowest 2nd weekend drop among 5 comic book adaptations this year. Pete's Dragon did 23.5-24 mln RUB. 13-15% less than The BFG.
juni78ukr
Thursday numbers. Pretty much the same. The Secret Life of Pets will have very wide previews on Saturday and Sunday. http://www.kinobusiness.com/news/kassa-chetverga-11-08-2016-onlayn/

Is that good compared to other animated previews? Not sure if Universal will add this to its OW amount next week just as they did with other markets or not. But I don't think Minions had previews in Russia last year.
