I really liked this Aljoscha-movie! ^_^ Is a new one coming hence the background?

I don't know if you know what I mean (I don't how it's spelled in Cyrillic) :D

It's roughly translated as The Three Heroes and The Sea Tsar. Another movie of a popular local animated franchise. Basically it's realeased every two year on January,1.

Eww what a nasty drop. But thanks for answering!

55% is not a bad drop for the third weekend. Especially with losing so many screens and shows. The total should be very close to Frozen. The problem is that Frozen survived till holidays and even greatly increased.  Don't think Moana will do that.

I appreciate your work of providing data - as always (no matter the film)

Can't try to show it the usual way, as I am out of likes

The biggest New Year blockbuster and the only hope this holiday season. But many theaters are very skeptical and think it will disappoint.

Around 1.2-1.5 bln RUB budget. More than $20 mln with current exchange rates. At least $30-35 mln actually.

What is the international title to look it up at e.g. IMDb?

Without understanding anything it seems ~ like a mix bit more brutal version (?) out of the 13th Warrior, King Arthur (the version with Clive Owen) and a film I am scratching my head about the title.

The movie called Viking.  Supposedly theaters can choose between two versions: mild with 12+ rating and brutal with 18+ rating.

One comment at IMDb's message board to the question about an USA release (answered in the thread for an UK release)

Quote

It should, but no dates yet and not clear how wide this release can be. It was pretty popular at the American Film Market that took place in November in California. 200 inquiries from 45 countries to buy the movie.

How is that Saturday-increase compared to TFA?

It seems RO could close the gap from about 33% of TFA up to 41% :) Can it get over 50% after it's run?

112% Saturday increase in Russia vs 98% last year. Yes, weekend should be 41-42% of The Force Awakens gross. Over 50% is hard but not impossible.

The only major foreign release till January,5 is Passengers.
