Puh, what can I say?

It doesn’t have Preview screenings, Endgame had really big ones.

Presales would be out of this world insane for every other movie, but for SW they are okay, I guess.

Right now, I’d hope for a 5-day opening above Endgame, but thinking it will open below and and probably just around Frozen II.

And thinking that the 4-day might be below both.

 

So maybe something like this:

OD: 375k

TFSS: 1250k

WTFSS: 1625k

 

(obviously hoping for something like this):

OD: 400k

TFSS: 1750k

WTFSS: 2150k

 

 

 

That was my last count for TROS (Wednesday after Midnight - so a little bit later than this post). Obviously a shitty comp xD

 

 

Only one of the cinemas:

If we only look at the CS: Endgame had 1150 sold while DSMOM has 430 sold:

That would translate to 172k tomorrow - lol - I highly doubt that.

 

Make of this whatever you want.

I'd go with around 130k - COVID-19 leads to more presales.

Not a good weekend …bad PTAs and drops all over the chart.

Next weekend: The second Doctor Strange movie as the only big opener will dominate the chart, no question. It should open in the same region as FB3. Weather forecast for the weekend is not too good so that should help family holdovers, too (the latest Biene Maja movie is opening, but this shouldn't be too big a problem for Sonic).

My theater is very busy, especially for today and Thursday. Way more people than for The Batman OW. Since i wasnt looking at it in December, i cant really compare it to NWH though.

 

But yeah, big OW incoming id say.

I don't have a proper comp, cause new theatre - but I felt like it wasn't that full (I'd say about 45% full).

  1. 2,133,456 Admits - Avengers EG
  2. 1,075,122 Admits - Avengers IW
  3. X,967,751 Admits - SM NWH (Peak Corona)
  4. X,749,797 Admits - GotG2
  5. X,709,614 Admits - Avengers AoU

And another comparison. Doctor Strange 1 had 1.461.058 TOTAL Admissions in '16 in Germany.

Not EVEN close in comparison. Fantastical elements in these movies with strong European ties play the biggest part. I've yet to see Europe embrace "Magical" MCU movies or even NON Avenger type movies in comparison to street level character superhero movies. Maybe i'm looking in the wrong place.
