Not yet ... the other CA movies were not that successful here but I guess it will rather play like an Avengers movie so I'm hoping for an opening in the 600k range.

Next weekend: CA-Civil War is the big opener and will be #1; I hope it can get 600k admissions or more - which would be MUCH better than the previous CA movies, more in line with Avengers. Some smaller releases as counterprogramming (A Hologram for the King …), but apart from Civil War, it will be a pretty boring weekend again.
IndustriousAngel
With ok Thursday numbers, 500k should be safe for CW, don't know if it can reach 600k on the proper weekend
IndustriousAngel
First weekend trends from insidekino.de and it's Disney week: #1: CA-CW - 650k admissions (better than BvS) #2: JB - 325k (-10%, verry nice) #3: Zootopia - 110k (-10%, verry nice too) CW's 650k contain about a lot of Wednesday admissions (I'd guess about 10% of its number) but should still open higher than BvS; it's about on Avengers2 level and MUCH higher than the previous CA movies.

IndustriousAngel
Was a Wednesday opening, so the actual weekend will be more along 600k with those estimates

AoU had about 700k admissions OW so CW is definitely received like an Avengers movie, not a CaptainAmerica one.

Aristis
TJB is less and Zoo is a bit more than 20% down. Today weather is (at least in my area) not as bad as thought so this holds are even more great.

Aristis
$3.7M up to Friday, according to Mojo, for CW. The first number ($1.9M) which was published earlier, did that include Wednesday and Thursday? And with a good increase on Saturday, is $8.5M OW possible? $7M should be safe. Of course it will more than double the $3.7M CA:WS had.
