Even accounting for movie-friendly weather, this is massive and might have gone even higher without football. I have no idea how a sequel to a 2015 movie targeted at pubescent teenagers is doing so well nine years later but I'm glad people still go to the movies at all! Bad Boys 4 is doing so-so, it had a bad but not the worst drop. Furiosa will not even reach half of Fury Road's admissions … In Austria, very similar numbers, IO2 at 82,3k after Sunday (exactly 1/10th of Germany); BB4 is doing a bit better here (> 70k total by now) and Garfield has crossed 150k total. Next weekend: The biggest opener will be The Bikeriders; #3 should be doable if Garfield doesn't have a strong increase. Which might be the case because the forecast looks mixed-to-rainy for most regions and there's no big new family release. 5
Flip
Probably could’ve entered the top 10 June openings if the weather was a tad bit worse and if there wasn’t the Euros
Flip
Estimated $2.1m made on Monday and Tuesday, so it almost surely passed the 1m admits mark yesterday. Depending on how they do the starting week (is it the first 7 days of a movies’ run (so in this case Wed-Tues) or is it until the next weekend starts (Wed-Thurs)?) it could enter the top 10 opening weeks for June
Flip
Inside Kino predicting 660k 2nd weekend, just a 10% drop, probably due to the bad weather incoming

So a lower OW compared to usual but maybe it gets a bit of its audience back during the run.

Youngstar
just FYI. Mark just said that this trend will probably go down again. Crazy good weather today and the Germany Football game are pullling down attendance significantly.
