BO Germany/Austria: Domestic kiddie movie #1, Joker 2 with a steep drop

Recommended Posts

Up to the fourth weekend it's at 2.4m, significantly ahead of the last two world cups. But with Germany in the final, I imagine next weekend will be a wasteland, I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up below 2010 all up.

An average of 32.57M viewers watched from 10 PM local time on ZDF. The previous record was set by the 2010 World Cup semi-finals in South Africa which drew 31.1M. A staggering 87.8% of the country was tuned in last night — and that of course does not account for group viewings in bars and elsewhere. That share, however, was a hair lower than the 87.9 of the 1990 World Cup final that saw Germany defeat Argentina.

First trend for Germany's weekend: Transformers4 opens with about 700k admissions for the weekend; a bit below expectations but the best start of the year so far. Every other movie with less than 50k admissions, so basicaly it's a Transformers-only weekend.

Comparison to TF3?
