As expected, due to no new releases besides the expansion of Hearth of Fire, the BO fell 30% this week, but the movies from the previous week holded well. Uncharted is down just -34% in its second weekend. Edited February 28, 2022 by ThatWaluigiDude 1

Shanks
@Issac Newton It is kind of arduous task to pick out just the "Japanese" Anime movies, I am pretty sure I have missed few obvious Japanese titles even though they were right in front of my eyes because some title name-changes don't even keep a single word from original title (I wish I could read Portuguese). I tried my best, Most of data's should be super accurate, I left out few Anime title release as they had very small audiences (even less than 1000) - I suppose they were fan runs or special festival screenings.. Also, It took almost an hour to pick out just Brazil's data, Rest of Latin Countries another day xD. Yup, Belle is correct. Like I said, it did an average of 3 people per screening. Really bad. Hey, let me help you with some more: The Red Turtle (2016) = R$40.250 - 3.653 audience Ghost in the Shell (2017 re-release) = R$73.991 - 4.017 audience Dragon Ball Z: Ressurrection of F - R$4.103.154 - 377.655 audience Spirited Away (2003) - R$2.455.772 - 422.813 audience Saint Seya (1995) - R$? - 1.048.203 audience Pokemon The Movie 3 (2001) - R$2.510.409 - 583.997 audience Yu-Gi-Oh (2004) - R$1.521.905M - 254.447 audience My Hero Academia: Futari no Hero(2009) - R$403.687 - 23.176 audience It's killing me because there are movies I KNOW for a fact it released in theaters, like Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon, Akira, Castle in the Sky and Steamboy, and I am pretty sure the first 3 made some good money, but it's hard as hell to find data for old movies. Also I think Weathering With You saw theatrical release, but I couldn't find anything besides a single section from 2020 (Where it made R$350 lol), if someone wants to look it up... EDIT: So, what I can find from Spirited Away, it was at 289.746 tickets sold (~R$2M) in its third weekend. I am digging to find the final numbers, but that is what I got so far. EDIT 2: GOT IT! Spirited Away's numbers and others added above (phew) Edited March 1, 2022 by ThatWaluigiDude 1
ThatWaluigiDude
Massive day yesterday, The Batman released during the Carnaval with R$7.4M, 380k tickets sold, beating the record of the year of Uncharted in one day. Uncharted also made R$3,120M yesterday, NWH did R$950k and To Ryca 2 did R$610k. Edited March 2, 2022 by ThatWaluigiDude 6
charlie Jatinder
So NWH is R$317M now. Just R$22M short of Endgame. Great result.

ThatWaluigiDude
This month of february, the BO fell for around half of january, but is still up big time compared to the same period 2021 (222.9% on audience, 287.6%). For brazilian movies, this year is up an not-even-funny 2001.5% on the box office. 1
Wally
Watched The Batman last night and loved it. Such a good movie.
ThatWaluigiDude
You see, this is why every studio should be like Sony. If The Batman was made by them, at this point they would be flexing the thursday and friday numbers to everyone who lives 😓
ThatWaluigiDude
Spoke too soon. The Batman, up until friday, made $4.6M (R$23M+). It have passed 1 million in admissions and today will become the largest 2022 movie. 4
ThatWaluigiDude
Leaving Bat aside for a bit, that BTS concert in Seoul will be released in theaters next week. Pre-sales are happening since last week. It's almost completely sold out. 1 1
ThatWaluigiDude
The Batman opened with $8.8M (R$44.5M+). We have to wait for the actuals to confirm if it indeed beat Joker's R$30M weekend opening. If confirmed, this would be the third best opening for Warner of all time, after BvS and Suicide Squad.

BVS made R$44.2 at OW in Brazil and Suicide Squad R$39,, I think in local currency it's Warner biggest debut (tomorrow we will know better), and among solo superhero films, it's the third biggest debut behind NWH and Captain Marvel, let's see how legs will be, Joker opened with R$31m and ended up doing more in total than Captain Marvel who opened with R$51m and BVS ( opened with R$44.2m) , because difference in WOM. It's important to remember though, that The Batman had a 6-day opening. That number total includes the mid-week release, to a more fair comparison we have to take that number and discount the R$13M it made on tuesday and wednesday. Deadline did confirmed the weekend is above Joker BTW.

It also had the best opening and is the biggest movie of the year already. Uncharted also keeps holding pretty damn well. NWH unfortunately had it's first big drop since release. Next weekend is time for Belfast, Blacklight, BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage (Only on the 10th,12th and 13th) and Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night. Deadline did confirmed the weekend is above Joker BTW. I forgot that Brazil doesn't count midweek previews numbers as opening weekend (at the end it's the most correct), I don't know what the BVS and Suicide Squad OW numbers are without the previews (the opening of R$44.2m of BVS and R$39m of Suicide Squad include previews, but these movies had 1/2 day less previews I think). Anyway, here are some examples of multipliers (to indicate legs) from some of the biggest solo superhero movies in Brazil (I won't include movies released in December like Aquaman, because they seem to have atypical multiplier,). Logan- OW R$27m, Total R$91m - 3,37x Wonder Woman- OW R$25m, Total R$110m - 4,4x l Spiderman-Homecoming- OW R$29 5m, Total R$103m- 3,49 x Thor-Ragnarok -OW R$26,5m, Total R$100m- 3,77x Black Panther - OW R$31m , Total R$134.5m- 4,3 x Spider man Far From Home- OW R$30,3m, Total R$117,4m - 3,87x Captan Marvel- OW R$51m, Total R$153m - 3x Joker- OW R$31m, Total R$157m - 5,,06x (very atypical legs) I think The Batman will end up between R$150m and R$170m in total, let's look at the numbers next weekend and compare it to (2 weekend) other solo superhero movies to get a better idea of where it should end up .
Marcos12
I just saw that in Brazil, HBO Max has already confirmed that The Batman will premiere on streaming here on April 17, I have no idea what impact it will have on the film legs.
