Unadjusted numbers are pretty much locked, it would have to drop over 20% in admissions to miss and no single major sequel this year has lost that much. Rise of Gru fell *only* 19% from first Minions in admits but that was an all-time record. Also, no MCU entry has fell in admissions from its predecessor except for Age of Ultron.

Update on One Piece: Red. Presales are behaving similar to Jujutsu Kaisen 0; demand is way more focused on large formats and sub shows than anything else. Could see similar numbers but ultimately a little below.

Local actors playing even a major part rarely help and this should be no exception but their characters getting backgroound from the two major ancient civilizations in the country can certainly boost the numbers.

And actually southern markets where Mayan Empire had its rise are actually behaving a bit better than national average in %

Previews aiming to high 20s and low 30s compared to Love and Thunder's $39M. 

 

Overall presales are considerably lower than those of Multiverse of Madness and Love and Thunder final count and also below The Batman's at the same point.

 

First Panther was a walk-up phenomenon so let's wait for the same this time and hope for it to open similar to both The Batman and Love & Thunder
