Mexico Box Office | Garfield scratches great $8.4M 6-day OW; safe $2.5M start for The Fall Guy

I always check on the official site (National Bureau of Cinematography or something like that in English) and they report on Mondays (Thu-Sun) and on Thurdays for the week (Thu-Wed)

ah ok, the confusion that is Mexico atm, Mexico is transitioniing from Friday starts to Thursday but not everyone does it yet, so there are offical weekend/week reports that are original Fri-sun, Fri-Thu but now also Thu-sun, Thu-Wed. If you go back hisitorical with Bureau of C you'll probably find a point where it reverts to Fri-Sun/Fri-Thu.

For now the Studios still acutally report Fri-sun/Fri-Thu, for example PPI reported AOE weekend figure was approx $us2m, which is the Fri-sun figure now the figure shown above in your post weekend top 5 of $us2.5 is the thu-sun figure. apes 6.9m (fri-sun) vs 8.3 (thu-sun)

Mojo for example weekend BO report for MEX figures are still Fri-Sun

Heres some examples of current confusion, ones that have moved from Fri to Thu starts some started doing it in Apr-Jun,

DIS - stilll Friday Starts

SPE/PPI/FOX -still friday, couple thu

FOX still friday, couple thu

WBI- Thurs starts since May

UPI Thurs since Jun

Diamond- Thurs start since Apr

Dragon Thurs start since Jun

Guissi Thursday since Apr

Movie tickets are so cheap in Mexico... In Europe that would be $50m+ ;)

It is really weird. From what I find online, the average ticket price in Mexico is a bit over 4$ (is that right?). Even here, with an awful economy, it's over 5$ for 2D (and that if the movie not in the evening) and around 7-8$ for 3D, even more for IMAX (again, not in the evening, when the prices are bigger).

In Mexico Frozen grossed $25.7m, Wreck-it Ralph $14.2m and Tangled $14.1m.

I see BH6 beating Ralph and Tangled quite easily given its comic book background (these movies are very successful there) and a bigger Mexican market.

Can it pass $20m? That would be nice and I want to believe it :)
