carlsalf
Frozen is getting a good run and still has another weekend for itself so 500M looks achievable Guadalupe Reyes had a somewhat good opening. I don't think it will last until the holidays to really benefit from the December corridor... but 60M can be in the cards... I think. Knives Out was really great specially at it was only from VIP and Premium screens. I couldn't see it over the weekend will try to see it over the week but with the trafic getting worse by the minute sometimes I don't get it to the theater in time¡¡ Hehehe
Carlangonz
NOVEMBER 29TH-DECEMBER 1ST WEEKEND. FROZEN 2 CLOSE TO BEAT FIRST FROZEN AND RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET; SCORES ONE OF THE BEST SECOND WEEKEND FOR AN ANIMATION. FORD V FERRARI KEEPS PLAYING WITH EXCELLENT HOLDS AND KNIVES OUT OPENS LIMITED. Frozen 2 - It should beat first Frozen between today and tomorrow and by Friday is going to be Walt Disney Animation Studios’ highest grosser ever surpassing Ralph Break the Internet. - Is looking at a $480M+ finish as there’s no competition in sight and could develop strong late legs a la Maleficent 2. Guadalupe Reyes - Behind spring hit Como Novio de Pueblo and summer hit Solteras. It should leg well through upcoming weeks and surpass $55M. Quite below the expectations of its distributor. Knives Out - Best PSA of the top 10 by lc and second best by admissions. Solid number looking at an opening in the leagues of Murder in the Orient Express. # MOVIE WEEKEND % CHANGE TOTAL (MXN) TOTAL (USD) ADM. Purple Minion
Yup, it would be a big challenge, and ER is fluctuating a lot. Assuming it stays the same as OW (around 19.3), $30M = 580M lc. At this rate, $26M (500M lc) would be a fantastic achievement, that'd be a 50% increase in lc from the first one. Purple Minion
31.5M lc weekdays ($1.7M) for Frozen 2, total is now 357.5M lc ($18.5M give or take). It's the #1 WDAS movie passing Ralph 2. 4

Let's wait for tomorrow's estimates.

Those legs are not showing.
Mau
Are those really bad legs for frozen 2? Also Are jumanji presales high or low? Edited December 8, 2019 by Mau

They're definitely far from other WDAS titles which are usually more leggy. Wouldn't say bad but considering the goodwill of the original and lack of competition it's kinda disappointing. Jumanji 2 has low PS but they're meaningless as is a family film. Anyway seeing how is performing everywhere I'm not expecting much but is still taking a lot of screens from F2.
Mau
So sadly there is a chance for frozen 2 to miss top 10 this year. I guess

It shall pass Dumbo this week and enter Top 10 and eventually pass It 2 as #9. Neither Jumanji 2 or TROS will make it there.

I guess What @Carlangonz said above 😉 Deadline is reporting a 47% drop for Frozen 2. Knives Out opened at #2 with $1.1M, Last Christmas at #3 with $850K and Ford vs Ferrari reached $4.6M. Not even the Force Awakens got to 500M and I'm not seeing much excitement for this one. Probably can get to 350M but… I’m not that confident. So in the end Frozen will be hard pressed to get to 500M as Jumanji will definitely compete but holidays are basically around the corner so weekday numbers will improve a little bit. It will be interesting to see if it can hold some. Was expecting a bigger number for Knives Out but I guess it was ok and it can have good word of mouth. I still see it getting to 50M

And BO won't recover until February.
