If Disney didn't come back for a traditional Pixar Labour day expansion in NA, I think $500m is dead now.

They should have expanded it this w/e instead of Little Mermaid - but LM did so poorly I wonder if they'll change course for LD w/e.  Nah, they'll probably expand IJ5. ^_^

Disney/Pixar’s Elemental continues to see great holds, down just 23% this session. The weekend was good for $5.1M in 51 markets to reach an international cume of $317M. Globally, the total is $468.8M after 11 frames.

Internationally, Elemental is now the No. 7 release of the year, having overtaken Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

The Top 5 markets are: Korea ($53.4M), UK ($21.7M), France ($21.5M), Mexico ($20.8M) and China ($15.9M).

Problem is it's lost a lot of weekday momentum with kids back in school, overall weekly drop was nearly 30%. 14.7m last week vs 10.3m this week.

Looks like weekend actuals came in about $500k higher:

There were week on week increases in France, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, Poland and Netherlands and a very small decrease in the UK and Spain with the rainy weather in Europe. It was a bank holiday on Monday in the UK and it’s National Cinema Day on Saturday which should be a nice boost. The weather looks rainy again across Europe this weekend.

It was actually Japan that let down the team :(

$500m is still possible but will need to stop losing seats in Japan.

What a drop! This made 5.1M last weekend.

I think $500m is likely now. It made $9.7m over the past week vs $10.3m the previous week. And this total doesn’t include the US Labor Day Monday which will add ~$440k. And then it will have the expanded 2,160 locations for the Tuesday and Wednesday.
