Seems early. Doesn't Japan usually wait a year after theaters to release movies to video?

Suzume arrived on last week of September before 1 year anniversary of release on November

My theory is that given that Godzilla x Kong arrives on Last Week of April (04/26) here. For which Toho is going with May 1st Release because under existing contract between Toho &Legendary two Godzilla Movies can't play on the Theatres at the same time.

With both Shin and Minus One beeing such highly acclaimed movies in Japan, do people generally see the Godzilla series (atleast the current Reiwa one) on an elevated level now compared to prior series like Showa, Heisei and Millenium? Or are these new movies more seen as outliers?

Maybe I don't have the correct answer but I think people will saw off if the quality factor is maintained. Never the end both the movie had different release date. One at the summer and other at the Winter. Along with their own legs been totally different. The idea that Anime Genre is growing so big in recent that people are less likely to look around the works of Kamuy, Kingdom at the level of Code Blue or Eternal Zero

But, I believe if Yamazaki come up with a new Godzilla Movie. More people will show up this time. Godzilla will live in the heart of the Industry as long as the best quality is maintained. No rush but just a good film that everyone can appreciate

Saw the budget sourced at $10-12 mil on its Wikipedia… that’s just can’t be accurate right? If so, Hollywood seriously needs to stop everything and completely reevaluate how they spend on big budget movies

Nah, thats pretty much the range given by the directors comments as well, so its accurate.

How??? And what is Hollywood even doing then? Then can’t make a so called “indie” for $10mil…
