IDK, reshooting for 6 months a movie is not the industry standard. And it surely suggests Cap 4 is yet another disaster waiting to happen just like The Marvels.

IMO it's uncertain if Cap 4's worldwide total will pass Cap 1's adjusted domestic total (or hell, even unadjusted). Potentially sub-$200M worldwide on a $275M+ budget

The article says from spring to summer, not six months.

Guys you can't preeemptively declare every single movie "the biggest bomb of all time" just because it has people who aren't white and got delaysd as being "just like the Marvels". We're well, well past the stage where "reshoots equals unsalvageable disaster"

$275M? Make that at least $350M, if not more.

Please, one of you, provide an actual source for these fucking ridiculous budgets you keep citing? Where are you seeing that this costs more than Infinity War?

they are basically shooting this entire movie again. Budget will be at least 300 million in the end if not more

Probably a good idea, helps distance the title from seeming like a Homecoming prequel.

Edit: and the Wakanda animated series is confirmed!

marvel shouldn't have big plans for anything (other than theatrical movies)  until they've stabilized a bit

Big reshoots following a film that muddled through a writers strike + lots of similar films turning into mega bombs = reasonable cases for extreme pessimism.

The 2008 writers strike created a whole subgenre of "common knowledge" discussions about how various films were ruined in such a situation.

No, they are not reshooting the entire movie again. That is not what any source has ever claimed at any point. People are literally just making shit up on here and saying "well it's PROBABLY true", which is not a source. Actual, credible, sources do not say anything close to "Cap 4 is actually secretly as expensive as Endgame"

That's very different than what people have been claiming here, that the budget is 300+ million and being rewritten from scratch.

Disney has bloated budgets for everything but the one that is basically being shot twice is somehow going to avoid that? Yeah ok sure

It isn't being shot twice. Reshoots are extremely common with Marvel productions. Acting like it's something that's never happened before is idiotic.

I asked for a source on all these ludicrous budget claims. You don't have one, because you guys just make them up or randomly guess. No, the reshoots aren't 150 million dollars. This board needs to get a god damn grip. Reshoot windows have happened for every single Marvel movie. Having reshoots does not magically mean they're doing a page one rewrite. The actual credible sources have not said that. If they had, you bet your ass Variety and the like would be happy for another dozen "Marvel in crisis" headlines

Meanwhile, as for news not made up by people on this board to start a flame war, Daredevil is reportedly going to be in Spider-Man 4, but Sony wants a more high profile Marvel character in it as well, so Ant-Man is one of the candidates being considered.

Which isn't terrible, it could be a fun dynamic, but if the pitch is Daredevil Spidey and a third hero...they could go for someone a bit bigger.

tumblr_inline_ptcoojoQbo1qkl52p_1280.pngthough Wade would probably pull focus a bit.

Marvel would fall into the unserious organization category if they choose Ant-Man to be in SM4.

It's not really any more a weird fit than Strange in the last one or Iron Man in the first one. Though if they're doing Devil's Reign maybe Hawkeye or someone more street level would be a better fit.

If they want to expand the MCU and move forward from the Infinity Saga, it would be idiotic to add Ant-Man. He does nothing for the future of the MCU. It would need to be like, an X-Men character. Gotta rip the bandaid off.

Or Punisher? As anti hero. Loved that guy in the comics. Still think i have Amazing Spiderman #129 somewhere. one of my favorites
But they never get him quite right on screen. The last version was okay though

True, but I don't see Punisher working with Kingpin or the Sinister Six or whoever. And based on the sounds of it Sony wants a movie character specifically like how the previous films had Tony, Fury, and Strange.

Also, Varietys report on Eyes of Wakanda confirms Coogler A: worked on it, and B: it's not the only Wakanda show he's working on.
