Also, no official info from Disney. So this is an opinion and approximation not fact. its a lock. it did around 2.85m in Japan Mon/Tuesday and 1.5m from domestic. Just need 1.65m from other markets. There is absolutely no question it would have crossed 1.6B by tuesday. 6

HummingLemon496
Gonna end really, really close to 2x IO1 ($858,294,430) WW. Also, Infinity War (yeah @Relevation I'm on my quest to mention CBM box office in every context possible) is at $678M DOM + $960M OS = $1637M excluding China and Russia. This movie will probably pass that OS-China-Russia number and the WW-China-Russia number. It will get really close domestically, like a $15M ish gap Edited August 15 by HummingLemon496

In just next one or two weeks, IO2 may see its box office number's gap with The Lion King become much closer and then surpass the later (probably during late-August).
keysersoze123
Do we know what is the lion king 2019 final number. Mojo and numbers have 2 different totals 🙂 That said next week IO2 number will look disappointing as we will be lapping Obon week in Japan where it increased from previous week big time on a weekly basis. So it may take longer than what you might other think.

Though it might be 60% of the prior week's total, at most.
