It seems that the Typhoon will mostly affect Osaka at this point. That's just my impression. Tokyo will be less affected.

Well that's because of the exchange rate. The Dollar is extremely strong against the Yen lately.

 

I don't really know where it ends up. I think maybe 9.5 billion yen. Which is $66 million, about.

 

If the yen was historicaly strong like it was over 10 years ago, that would be over $100 million though.

 

For context, The Wind Rises made 12 billion yen.

 

The USD to Yen conversion has ranged from 76 yen for $1 in 2011 to as it is now, which is 145 yen for $1.
