no, like I said family films will always jump on sunday. sunday in general is often the best day of the week in japan but for family films it is usually BY FAR the best day of the week. just look at how even a run of the mill doraemon film does and you'll see that sunday is usually just a big jump.

big increase on sun is quite normal, I wouldn't try and extrapolate leg signs until atleast the first set of weekdays

Hmm OK. I just noticed that How Do You Live didn't have Sunday jumps so I was wondering.

its been pretty clear from the start given weekday trends that HDYL's audience is really old so it's not surprising tbh. but yeah, it's not looking good for HDYL on sunday, will be well under 400M unless it crawls back.

7pm Update Mimorin August 6

Including independent, like yesterday

81797: Kingdom 3 (21% increase from Sat)

66408: Crayon Shin-chan (41% increase from Sat)

54079: Elemental: (37% increase from Sat)

50556: Mission Impossible (16% increase from Sat)

50400: How Do You Live (14% increase from Sat)

39050: Transformers: (1% increase from Sat)

I'm mainly doing this because Mimorin doesn't automatically calculate what the daily % drop is. Also just for my own satisfaction.

4th movie has been announced - Will it increases or drop?¿

2018 Film - ¥1.72B

2019 Film - ¥1.79B

2021 Film - ¥3.43B

3rd Film opened on same Weekend as F9 (which did ¥3.667B)

Feels like this is way past the peak in popularity both at home or abroad. Maybe 2bn range?

Edit: ah I see they're trying to guess the ATP but it will probably be much lower

Yeah, Family Film has lower ATP which make calculation difficult. I too lost the ability after Ticket Inflation of each chain by ¥100 (each week). JL is good and close to it. Hopefully, Studio should release intial USD Numbers and if not then tomorrow we will get JPY Numbers by Evening -
