Yes. That is, if they portray it the same in the show. There's a lot more to Jaime than meets the eye. A redemption arc of sorts. There's more to the story of him killing King Aerys, and he's changed a lot by upcoming events. We'll soon see his feelings on many things and realize he's not just an arrogant monster.

People will like Jaime???? :puke:

Yes. If Seasons 3 and onward hold true, Jaime is going to pick up a lot of fans. Book 3 begins a redemption arc as said above, plus he gets lots of snarky humor.IMO, he is actually

the least evil of the 3 Lannister siblings, since Tyrion, though he tries to do the best thing for his family and his people, has a lot of dark elements simmering under the surface and he takes a turn for the dark in Book 5. The "crimes" Jaime committed are actually much less than Tyrion does through the books and are more understandable and sympathetic.

It's gonna be hard for me to forgive intentionally pushing a 10-year-old boy off a high tower and crippling him. He better do something pretty freaking noble.

Oh I don't forgive him for that, but it's understandable why he did it, especially when you get inside his head in Book 3 and see that he's one of the most loyal and principled characters in the series. It's just that he's very, very narrow in who he extends said loyalties and principles towards.I just really really hope they don't leave out:

Jaime and Brienne in the bear pit. It's easily the turning point for Jaime's character in the series and a great scene to boot.
