Sims
50M is a lock with this Saturday. No it's not. More like a 50% chance.
baumer
It only looks bad because you're comparing it to pg-13 flicks like SW and MIB. The business on Saturday is driven by family auds. Prom with its R rating and not to mention frontloading was never going to increase from non-midnight Friday.Sunday drop will be minimal: 15%, maybe even less. Are you basing that solely on The Hangover? Cuz that's the only R-Rated film that fell softly on it's first Sunday. 300, Bridesmaids, Reloaded all fell in the mid 20's.
CloneWars
Saturday number for Prometheus is looking pretty bad.
MovieMan89
So Prom fell about 8% minus midnights. Definitely not good, but like others have said I highly doubt that's due to WOM already, more than fan frontloading.
RTX
Because it's a 25% drop from the Friday number. That's big no matter how you look at it.I guess Midnights are skewing the picture for most people. Drop from non-midnight Friday is only 9%. It's the same as District 9 Saturday, which had no fanboy rush.
Olive
So only RTX thinks it's good for Prom.
ecstasy
Snow White and MIB3 had decent Saturdays jumps. The Avengers increase is not good at all. Hopefully it can hold onto that 11.2.Snow White's week to week drop is bad that if that 60% hold. That's a comic book film drop.

Cuz that's the only R-Rated film that fell softly on it's first Sunday. 300, Bridesmaids, Reloaded all fell in the mid 20's.You need to look at summer releases like District 9. Anyway, R rated films always have great opening Sunday holds compared to competition. 300 only fell 27 on its opening Sunday in early MARCH (!) when everything else fell over 40%. ecstasy
Two many 3D flims in the market.Yes and Madagascar took away the family for Saturday. I had a feeling it would get creamed this weekend. Hopefully the drop is under 50%. I wasn't expecting Swath to drop that low though.

Nothing drops 60% in its 2nd weekend unless it's a horror film, has a massive 130m+ OW, or has toxic WOM. We know SWATH isn't the former two.
