All the main bad guys in GI JOE movies are British. I am sure the British did not like to see themselves as comic-book villains. They want to see themselves as James Bond, sexy, virile, lethal.

I really don't think that is the problem.

Lolwhat?

GI Joe 2 flopped in the UK because it is pretty bad.

Most films have British bad guys anyway, recently Rise of the Guardians and Star Trek 2 for example.

I think they don't care.

By the way I would like more French bad guys, not enough of them :P

It could happen that a release take place on another day than Wesnesday. It was the case also for Cosmopolis, "rust and bones" or "Ice of age 3" also.

But generally movie are released on wednesday because chiildren/teen don't have school.

It is also a way to ensure that all movies are distributed the whole french territory by friday.
