Yes but thanks to holidays and big previews, it's a movie which interest many children so it will "work well" during this period but it will not work good after holidays, the WOM is horrible (1.5/5 on Allociné) and it is one of the most expensive French films ever made (€65M) so I hope it won't be too big an industrial disaster for French cinema

It already has in Euro. In admissions I'd say it's unlikely but yes it's possible.

starting a petition to make france the new domestic market, birth place of cinema and all that, y'know?

I think (it's only my thoughts) that Asterix will be at 1,6M + admissions by Sunday (1,325M weekend + 275k previews), with holidays in a part of France maybe 2M + first week ? Not bad after all bad critics (thanks to kids) but legs will not follow ..

A2 weekend should be 325k and maybe 400k + week for a -20/25% drop .. Seems like 13M by Sun and 13,1M by Tue, really great and chances for 14M are growing (4 weeks of "holidays" to come)
