chasmmi
Just saw Sea Fog is the OScar submission for this year. NEver managed to see it to see if its any good but it really is getting silly that no 21st century Korean film has even got a nomination yet.
Rsyu
Wow, Interstellar down less than 10% this week. Imagine if it still had IMAX. The lack of a big opening this week means dailies are roughly on par with last week after Exodus opened. Admissions should pass 9.6 admissions by the end of the week.

Rsyu
It's probably annoying already hearing this question, but is that good for TH at this point before it's release? It's okay I think. AUJ and DoS presales were at 120-130K at OD and hopefully BotFA can pass that. WB is marketing the heck out of TH3 right now so if it's OW is bad then it would really mean interest in middle earth products has died in Korea.
Rsyu
Also, the really WTF run by the documentary film <My love don't cross that river> means it will provide some unexpected competition for TH3 and Ode to my father next week. Interstellar despite falling to third place is still doing very well. Weekly % is down very little and Friday increase (37%) is not down by that much from last weeks 42%. If Saturday increase is similar to last week (166%) than I can see it finishing the weekend with around 9.65 million admissions.
Olive
Hobbit3 has 4 days to pick up presales. Hobbit2 did bad because of the dispute between WB and local cinema chains last year. TH3 presales are a lot better than TH2.
pepsa
Maybe an idea, if you give the presales of the hobbit also say if it's good or bad so we don't have to iritate you with that question Because I don't got any idea what those numbers mean
Rsyu
Maybe an idea, if you give the presales of the hobbit also say if it's good or bad so we don't have to iritate you with that question Because I don't got any idea what those numbers mean I would if I could. I don't have an exact number because news articles only publish % share for some reason and not the number of physical tickets pre-sold (which is pretty nonsensical). It's one of the reasons I post presales every day so I have a point of reference for future comparisons. AUJ presales was between 88K-120K at OD I think but I'm not 100% certain. We have exact DoS presales on OD thanks to Podo though The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug 76,107 Smaug presales was low because of disputes between WB and Lotte/CGV theatres in Seoul over how to split the earnings. Interestingly though OW was down by only $1m or so compared to AUJ. Edited December 12, 2014 by Rsyu
