Mojoguy
$30m for Kingsman would be huge and totally unexpected. That would be 50% more than BH6!
sfran43
Very unlikely. Winter vacations ends this week for one, and while Kingsman should hold better than other films on account of it being an R rated(18+) film, it will still lose university students which is a key demo right now. I see late 20s to early 30 million dollars happening. Thank you.

Rsyu
Is this good for IG? Not bad but nothing special. Maybe in the top 50 most attended of the year if the box office remains similar from the previous year.
Rsyu
Kingsman: The Secret Service powered through 3 million admissions today (Sat) and is now the most successful R rated (18+) foreign release of all time beating the previous record set by 300 9 years previous.

Rsyu
I mean for it genre ? And how does it compare to AS? Some recent admissions for biography genre films from 2010 onwards. Unbroken 256,802 American Sniper 345,261 The Theory of Everything 276,792 Fox Catcher 23,902 The wolf of wall street 585,082 Saving Mr. Banks 12,957 Jobs 225,146 Lincoln 137,505 Argo 140,736 Hugo 60,520 The King's speech 806,248 Overall the genre isn't strong at all, especially for western historical figures the audience knows little about. So yeah IG is doing pretty well for the genre.

Compared to 2014 which had Miss Granny and Frozen in full swing and 2013 which had Miracle in cell no.7, February in 2015 had a conspicuous lack of breakout films which led to the decline. Ode to my father managed to reach 14M admissions during the Lunar holidays but it did the majority of it's business in January.
