Rsyu
Film Review: The Good, the Bad, The Weird (2008) Cast Song Kang-ho as Yoon Tae-goo, the Weird Lee Byung-hun as Park Chang-yi, the Bad Jung Woo-sung as Park Do-won, the Good Ratings Rotten Tomatoes: 84% IMDb: 7.3/10 Naver: 7.73/10.0 Box office Gross: $36,008,317 (43,768,628,939 KRW) Admissions : 6,686,912 Review You typically wouldn't think of Westerns being made outside of the United States, but Kim Jee-woon's homage to THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY is a bizarre mix of action, violence, and all of the classic elements of the cowboy genre. Backed by a star studded cast of Song Kang-ho, Jung Woo-sung and Lee byung-hun the acting is pretty much top notch and features the kind of silliness that Koreans seem to love in films (which goes a long way to explain kingsmans' success here). This scene should give you a general idea of what the film is like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3ZHP10__Co other reviews Edited March 10, 2015 by Rsyu

Rsyu
Another stat for Kingsman to be broken, likely today: it will become Matthew Vaughn's most successful film in Korea beating X-Men: days of future past which recorded 4,313,871 admissions in 2014.
Hernan Gonzalez
Hey Rsyu! These days, on other threads, we are talking about exchange rates and how bad they are this year in almost every big market but China. How's the South Korean Won doing compared to last year? BadAtGender
Hey Rsyu! These days, on other threads, we are talking about exchange rates and how bad they are this year in almost every big market but China. How's the South Korean Won doing compared to last year? Last year $1US was worth 1065.35 Korean Won. Now it's worth 1115.25. So about a 4% difference. Close enough to be even. (You can plug in any date here to find the historical exchange rate: http://www.x-rates.com/historical/)

Rsyu
Hey Rsyu! These days, on other threads, we are talking about exchange rates and how bad they are this year in almost every big market but China. How's the South Korean Won doing compared to last year? http://imgur.com/LL3Q9aK As you can see exchange rates dropped since last year quite considerably but nothing drastic like we're seeing in some other countries. Wheras 1,000 Korean won translated to around 97-99 cents in early to mid 2014, it is hovering around 91 cents nowadays. So maybe a tenth of the gross is lost through currency conversion. Rsyu
From what I can gather it looks like the AoU releasing team in Korea is pushing for a release date earlier than North America. There are rumors that it will be released during mid-April, possibly the 23rd.

The trailer is in English and there are Western actors in it so I'd imagine the film itself is in English too Edited March 10, 2015 by Rsyu
