A Marvel Fanboy
But wasn't last Monday a holiday in most markets, so a bigger drop was to be expected? Last Monday 20M, last week 140M. This Monday just $5~6M (meaning around $50M week), from 140 to 50, way too big a drop. Assuming $50M week, so 360M by Sunday from current markets. Could still do another $35M, so about less than $400M OS without couting additional oversea markets. AU 30M JP 20M China 75M Others 15M So probably 535M OS final for FF6. Told you 600M was not happening. 800M WW likely dead.
A Marvel Fanboy
Sub $550m OS, not enough to get it in the yearly top 5.

Heretic
For a soley 2D film belonging to a franchise that was barely more than a mid-tier grosser a few years back, over 500m OS and 750m WW is an incredible feat. Heretic
Not mine ... And why's that I wonder? Because you were predicting an utterly ridiculous 1bn+ WW.

Robertron
I thought 850M was the floor.Expecting a 30% increase on a film which had already increased almost 80% on its predecessor was always a ridiculous thing to do. theultimatebiu
not really You really are the most negative poster on BOM. It was not in 3D and had a enormous boost with the fifth installment. What did you expect?? It is doing fantastically well for the sixth installment in a franchise that looked dead a few years back and never even begun as a big box office tentpole.

SentryTrans
Please forgive firedeep. It is a bad atmosphere in Chinese box office forum. We are so optimistic about some blockbusters that we always neglect the capacity of market. In an emerging market, our views are quite different from people in other markets, so we will learn and change.
