John Marston
So with a 146.6m opening, what's that look like for total? Around 500, slightly under? This movie will be pushing 900m WW by the end of its run I believe. 450. 500 if lucky
A Marvel Fanboy
LOP run was stopped despite it having a good run. So except avatar have we ever had a movie play > 30 days(How about TF3). Plus your post said additional 2-3 weeks. Is that enough for the numbers you are expecting in future. LOP was because it caught December, which has always been a protection month for local films. So yeah, foreign movies released in November are unlikely to get extended. Plus LOP 5th was 28M, which was not especially strong. After 2~3 addtional weeks, if a movie is still strong, then another extension can be expected. I dont like the idea of 30 days run either. But it is right now how it works. One thing can be asured, blockbusters like TF4/Avatar 2 can always find ways to get multi-weeks/months exstensions.
keysersoze123
Did TF3 get an extension?

John Marston
Europe is behaving like Potter-lite for CF. it's not behaving like Potter at all. Potter in Europe was gigantic. CF grosses in most European countries (hell in most countries in general) will be closer to the Twilight films. A Marvel Fanboy
CF probably around BD1 numbers lol.
John Marston
CF probably around BD1 numbers lol. yeah in many countries CF will not make as much as Twilight New Moon or very similar numbers that is why I am not too sure about 500m. keysersoze123
So I assume this is a lower opening cannot compare 2 different franchises. Best comparison is the 1st one. The fact that its more than doubling is great news. It has done in several large markets. So 500M is definitely in play.
