It touches on a lot of different subjects like abortion, homosexuality, pornography etc. Stuff you would never see in a teen drama in todays movie making climate. Please watch Fame if you don't watch any of the others. The "impromptu" jam session in cafeteria is worth it.Dirty Dancing is good too. And of course the theme song is pretty iconic.
