I really love the fact that chinese moviegoers honour these two icons.

American audience don't seem to care anymore, which is their loss.

There will be only two Hollywood movies in 2013 top 10, the least year since 1994.

2012 had 7.

2011 had 6.

2010 had 5.

 

In almost every relative index, 2013 has the worst performance for Hollywood in China since like 1994. Local films have been playing especially strong this year. Should will slow a little down in 2014 I think.

 

Gross of #10 movie in past 10 years:
