pepsa
That strategy doesn't make sense to me. Chinese people wouldn't just watch their own version of Transformers with sub par production and crappy CGI. And Hollywood wouldn't want to cut down the gross of their next TF movie by compromising the demand in China. They would only do that if they now the movie could make 800M in china allone XD

James
So, 10 years from now? As much as I'd like that to happen, doesn't every market has it's peak? And yeah, passing the domestic market seems like a given at this point, but still.

And yeah, passing the domestic market seems like a given at this point, but still. Every market has it's peak of course but I got told a few pages back that; The admission of Transformers 4 in China so far just around 40 millions which is just around 3% of the population in China ONLY Meaning there're so much room to grow in China. Making 3 times of what TF4 does isn't impossible.

If there's no extension it'll finish it's run around $310-315mil, with the extension it'd do more.
Godzilla
Tiny Times 3 already passed Tiny Times 2. Should become highest grossing Tiny Times film.

Kalel009Shel
Did you guys ever think of $300m in a single market oversea 5 years ago? Actually yes.. Kayom and myself stated for years that Avatar 2 would likely reach 400-500M in china. I I didnt expect a Transformers film to reach 300M before Avatar 2 though.. Outstanding lol

Fake
In 2009, Avatar was 3x bigger than Transformers. If Avatar 2 is 3x bigger than TF4/TF5 then....... then....... then..... we could be talking A BILLION!I know a hundred reasons why it won't happen, but I need only one reason why it can happen.
