Nov '16 BO at ¥1.7B ($250M), just 5% above Nov '15. Opening up quota only works when you spread around releases.

That's a little misleading.  That's thru Sunday.  The 20th last year was on a Friday. Projecting numbers thru to Thu the 24th so last year gets its 3rd weekend in, it will be down 5% thru the 24th. It'll be up to FB to get the month positive.  100m FB OD will get the month positive by a couple percent by the 30th. Less than 80m will cause Nov to be negative.

Question:

is the embargo valid for all South Korean in general or is it about the foreign limitation?

Quote

China’s Ban on Korean Movies and Shows Has Hard Impact on Korean Stock Market
Stock prices of South Korea’s top four entertainment companies, including YG, SM, CJ E&M, JYP, have taken a dive these days after news that China will be enforcing its embargo against Korean shows and films much more stringently broke out through the weekend. The market values of the four companies has seen a combined decrease of 32 million RMB. Sansheng

What are you estimation for the total boxoffice of FB in Chine & Japan? I think with a good numbers from these two markets, it has a shot to 850M WW!!!

Was browsing worldofkj and someone linked this.

This article is predicting Your Name is "likely grossing more than 1 billion yuan (US$145 million)." Obviously not taking it with too much merit because that would be fucking insane

Presales are encouraging ,but I think the realistic goal is ¥550M, besting Doraemon 3D's Japanese MOVIE RECORD(about ¥525m)
