That role could have gone to Donnie Yen/Jet Li and i have no doubts they will do equally as well or even better. On the other hand, i can't imagine him tackling the roles of Donnie/Jet to be very honest.
jb007
What's with all this Jackie Chan hate? I don't know about his personal views. I have been watching his movies since Drunken Master in the late 70s and most of his movies are very entertaining. I love his onscreen persona.

I dislike him for his political views and for "stealing" the box office for two of his recent films. I don't hate the guy, I know he's hardworking.

peludo
All I have to say about Jackie Chan is that he already has the same Academy awards than Alfred Hitchcock, Cary Grant or Groucho Marx... obviously, I will never trust again in the Academy. Beyond this, and with initial data, are there any final prevision of how much can make the CNY releases at the end of their runs?
Gavin Feng
JTTW2 could drop 40% on Sunday. Furious 7 did 46%(52.7m from midnights, 346m on Sunday and 187m on Monday).

I watched it. =( Its entertaining, but there are 3 seperate story-arcs that don't fit together, and it isn't as funny as a Stephen Chow-directed production. But still miles better than Kungfu yoga to be really honest.

maria
i was waiting for jttw2 but it's seem like the critic are harsh [+152] It wasn’t good, only the special effects were worthy of note. No plot, and Wu Yifan’s acting skills are… I don’t know what to say. It’s my first time watching him act and my last [+123] Stephen Chow, Tsui Hark. If you need money, just give us your account number. No need to do this. I’m speechless… [+63] So boring! No punch lines at all! Punch lines were created by cussing! That’s so stupid! [+54] Those with low IQ won’t understand Stephen Chow’s films, that’s why you think it’s bad. Watch Wang Baoqiang’s films in the future. Anyone below 5 will understand it. No problem for you guys [+28] I went to watch it yesterday. Waste of time. Messy plot and not funny at all. But the man beside me couldn’t stop laughing. I think he’s an idiot [+26] I think it would’ve been better if Wu Yifan was swapped out for Wen Zhang. That kid should go back to singing and don’t act. His face isn’t suitable for the big screen
