It handily defeated domestic BO. Looking at BOM month of February did $499M+ while Chinese BO would be well over $1B+.

Zootopia - 20%

Mermaid - 5%

 

IPM3 will stay over 50% likely, and Disney dare not try too hard on an original property.

The release date shifting really hurts IP MAN 3, presales don't look so good. 400M OW won't happen, 300M is not sure thing either.

It should be released on CNY, CNY can hold 4-5 big movies.It would make at least 800M YUAN instead of making 500-600M now.

It also should have previews last weekend since WOM is good in HK and other markets, the distributors ruined it...

 

Also, Zootopia presales are weak too, hope it will have good legs.

Weak Month... Quiet Month for movies. Hope Ip Man 3, Zootopia heats up the market.

One of those times where Films are not really competing against one another, but against the market...
