keysersoze123
I was thinking something like this for TF4 OW. OD including midnights 150M RMB Sat 135M Sun 115M ~ 400M OW 3x multi for 1200 RMB finish.
A Marvel Fanboy
Despite the attempt to have the first three weeks of June have Hollywood cannibalize each other, arguably each fared well... True. On the other, those June releases still did/do much stronger business than Feb/Mar/Apr ones. Robocop barely crossed 300m two weeks without competition, NFS 400m three weeks without competition, Hobbit 2 463m two weeks without competition. They made June a very strong month and benifited from it. Does that effect TF4 being in theaters? It's basically Paramount breaking agreements. But it shouldnt affect TF4 release a bit. A Marvel Fanboy
I was thinking something like this for TF4 OW. OD including midnights 150M RMB Sat 135M Sun 115M ~ 400M OW 3x multi for 1200 RMB finish. I am not brave enough to predict TF4 so early. But Sat should increase ..... Plus I highly doubt it can hits 3x. Edited June 20, 2014 by firedeep

keysersoze123
What is the ceiling for single day. 200RMB !!! How about 150 180 160 490M OW 1300M RMB finish.

Don't think Paramount at fault here, I'm pretty sure the Pangu tie-in was pursued and completed by their Chinese partners, the lugheads at M1905 and Jiaflix. It's as relevant as the "reality show" they staged for roles in the movie, ones that I'm sure will be comical to see, if seen at all, yet they made all those claims in Hollywood and Wall Street that it was a weekly seen by hundreds of millions...nuts. Olive
Based on early presales, I think TF4 midnights may hit $4-5M. Usually Midnights-OD ratio is less than 1:10.

Plus midnight PSA will be much higher (easily 2x+) than day shows. Ticket price will be higher too.
keysersoze123
I was kidding. Realistically what is the ceiling for TF4. IM3 did 121M OD. So I am thinking this should do at least 150M. 400M OW is also on the cards I assume and at least 1B run. if there is no competition I assume it can do 1.2B or even beat Avatar. Noctis
DH2 did $70m in China. If it had been released today, it would have probably surpassed $100m. Interesting.
juni78ukr
So after three years and so many screens added in the market biggest non-holiday OD still belongs to T3. That's impressive. Biggest working day too.
