If midpoint is 4pm today numbers are

 

WC  48-49 mill

XMA  14 mill

WC  tracking mid 40s. Could be 50m if evening plays stronger with an older demo. Maybe 1630 midpoint.

FD still with only 600k in PS. If it follows the normal trend of 50% increases this week and a 90% increase on Thursday, just a total of 2.8m in PS and 7-9m OD will happen. Lose big time to AB? Ouch. Disney is going to need to do a marketing push or offee discounted tickets to get these numbers up. This could be another IO situation. With Warcraft having big demand burnoff and XMA finishing up(could have great hold) it could be a very low BO weekend. 

 

Finding Dory may not have the high awareness factor as other movies  this year. It could have crazy legs like Zootopia.

Zootopia opened with $23M and look at it go.

So who knows.

Don't expect that, ID2, NYSM2 and another big local movie will hit it in its 2nd weekend.

FD will lose lots of screens if it doesn't have a decent opneing.

That was a projection for the whole day if it doubled up from 4,30pm.. 

It did'ent. Midpoint today were 4pm and landed at the numbers Olive posted

Yes zoo opened to just ¥22m OD, but it was able to increase shows by 70% the next weekend as WoM built up and had a 200% increase the following friday with limited competition. FD won't have that opportunity.

The other problem is that it looks like it's going to a lot smaller OD than zoo.

Are you sure? I saw that Taiwan made $2.7m to Warcraft.
