Yup. GIJ made 130m Yuan in 2009. 3 years gap means around 3-3.2x bigger numbers for the sequel.Should be able to cross 400m mark if the competition isn't severe.

60M should be accompished in its first week (weekend).ROTK trilogy is one of the most adored and watched movie in China history.It has native 3D and 48 fps, and there will be about 15K screens (double that of TF3) when it released. It is the biggest movie ever since AVATAR. It is unthinkable of it doesnt beat TF3 in China. I think it definitely could challenge Avatar here.

They bought its China release right. If a movie has a 6 months or more delay, it's a buy-out movie. The buying prices go from about $0.1M to about $1M+ and generally the foreign/hollywood wont get a revenue share of the boxoffice grosses . Every year tens of foreign movies are released in this way in China.

There are 75 IMAX screens now in China, 63 of them in rugular comercial use and will be about 90~100 by the time TASM released here. Avatar had 11 in Jan 2010, TF3 had 31 in July 2011, MI4 had 65 in Jan 2012.More than 100 by 2013.200+ by 2014.400+ by 2016.
