Just a quick question but Expendables 3's Chinese box office potential, what could we be looking at there?

Ex2 did $50 million and the market has grown a ton since then, could it be another movie where it grosses more in China than U.S?

I'm expecting that to happen.

The Continent is huge. Is it going to be another $100m grosser?

TF4 made half of TT3 number with less than 1/3 of TT3's show times, that's impressive!

It is early to say.  Need to see how The Continent run for the next few days as take TT3 as an example, it opened huge however it is running out of steam soon and I don't think TT3 will reach $100M.

Thing about Expendables is, they too get a bigger share of the gate than a typical Hollywood film as well.  I think there is some kind of Chinese investment in it, plus they have some big Asian stars on their roster as well.

Why such a huge difference?

There are two sources on weibo which provide everyday's est numbers.  One normally released their est numbers around 10pm (China time) and another one normally released their est numbers around 12am(China time).  Sometimes the 10pm one is closer to the actual numbers and sometimes is the 12am one is closer to the actual numbers.  Since they both are est sources, therefore they is no official est source.  This is why we call it "est" and we will get the actual numbers on tomorrow afternoon(China time) for today numbers.

*Both estimate sources most of the time their est numbers are close to each another(for example for today, the 10pm one estimated TF4 took 8.3M/$1.3M and the 12am one estimeated TF4 took 8M/$1.29M), however sometimes they do have a huge difference est numbers but rare for example today's est numbers for "The Continent".
