So AOU is on another level?

31,226 now. But presales opened 4 days earlier than F7.

And FF7 had wider audience demo, mid-aged men love car-chasing or action movie but are not into comicbook movies.

AOU target demo are teens and 20-30s.

Can FF7 still hit 400m before AoU arrives?

Also will Chinese government try to prevent AoU from making too much money?

I heard they get mad when a Hollywood movie makes lots of money, taking money away from local movies. Which is why there are the blackouts and delaying some America movie for months to help the local movies.

I expect AOU first 6 days performs like:

midnights: 15M

Tues: 145M

Wed: 110M

Thu: 100M

Fri: 130M

Sat: 220M

Sun: 180M

900M yuan/$150M 6-DAY OW

You still think its 150 max due to amount of screens?
if so maybe 30m midweek. Then does it lose screens to local films on the 22nd and then there is tomorrow land
300m not possible w this kind of start. You felt 250m max at this time. Youbfeel higher now?

It will probably only make10-15m its final 8 days . 380-385m
Itll be interesting to see If they mess w aou

Dang. Hopefully FF7 hits 390m at least.

I get why they do it, but it is pretty sad how the Chinese government messes with Hollywood movies, even though it makes the local theaters lose out on money. I only found out about it after reading an article about it while back.
