So many great things about last night's episode. The Troy/Abed rap (thanks for a posting a link btw), Annie's song, Chang & the Dean and everyone at the end, Taran Killam as the glee club teacher, the constant references to regionals. Everything was amazing. It sucks that this will be the last episode for a while, but at least it left on a high note.

It's back in the springhttp://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/01/06/community-will-return-this-season-alec-baldwin-to-stay-on-30-rock-mariska-hargitay-to-stay-on-lo-svu/115646/But whatever happens, Greenblatt suggests it won't be at 8:00 anymore. That worries me. It has to stay on Thursday, if NBC thinks of replacing Whitney or Chelsea with it on Wednesdays then it may be screwed.

It can't go against Idol, ABC Wednesdays, and Criminal Minds at once. Plus it wouldn't have P&R or The Office to support its night. The ratings have proven that it gets hurt by The Big Bang Theory, though. There's one scenario where Up All Night's ratings don't soar despite having an Office lead-in (possible), Whitney and Chelsea bomb even for NBC standards (probable), UAN goes back to Wednesday and Community gets Thursday again. There's another scenario if either Chelsea or Whitney tank, then they add back an extra hour on Thursdays, put Community at 10:00. Then they announce the show will get one last season next year.

What bugs me about this is that 30 Rock is getting the same/worse ratings as Community in the 8PM slot and a new low for the series. They might as well air Office reruns at 8PM because there's no point competing against Big Bang Theory and Idol. 8:00: The Office (rerun) 8:30: Parks & Rec 9:00: The Office (new) 9:30: Up All Night 10:00: 30 Rock10:30: Community With The Firm likely to be pulled by the time I finish typing this post, they could do the three hours of comedy thing again in the format above. Whitney and Chelsea may survive through the spring, meaning they can keep their hands off the Thursday schedule.

Just finished watching the second season. REALLY loving it. But it seems as if it's gonna end after the third season eventually finishes airing, right?

Not necessarily. There's a really good chance it will get a fourth season.

Nothing on NBC is doing much better, though. I imagine they'll get a fourth season and just play it by ear in terms of future seasons. 30 Rock will get a seventh and probably last season, otherwise they will have to draw new contracts with the cast and crew and the show will be prohibitively expensive to produce. Parks & Rec is doing fine for NBC standards and should have many years left. The Office really should end soon, but NBC isn't about to let its only show consistently pulling a 3.0 demo go.
