I think the most important thing about the WGAs this year was that LOUIE won something. Mad Men also finally won something for it's incredible fifth season too.

I just want Hamm to win once which will probably never happen.

 I thought she was very forgettable in Lincoln, in fact, the film is very forgettable as well.Lock in Argo for best picture. It's not in doubt anymore. It has won absolutely everything.

I'm always late to the discussion, but I'd love to see Streep win number 4 next year. People would probably literally shit themselves. If she deserves it, so be it. I'd rather have her and DDL win every year if they deserve it than have a person who's 'due' win. I still say she should've gotten #3 for Doubt.

My rank of the nominees:

 

1. Amy Adams (The Master) - Adams seriously has range, and the script gives her a haunting and brilliant performance.

2. Anne Hathaway (Les Miserables) - She nails all of her songs, and those feels...

3. Sally Field (Lincoln) - She was pretty good, I suppose. Her character was quite a nut.

4. Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook) - Much like DeNiro, she's fine in her role, but I didn't see anything very special there.

 

I haven't seen The Sessions yet.

It`s really sad that supporting role is now relegated to scene stealing only. If a character doesn`t have a scene stealing big moment or isn`t OTT enough to dominate every scene he/she`s in than acting is considered nothing special. Lay off Jacki, people. She was a perfect supporting role because she supported,OK? That`s the whole freakin point. She supported the leads and made them stand out as leads should. I was wondering why she didn`t get more love but now that she snagged a nom I`m happy that she made it over some showier turns.
