Yep, Toronto has become number 2 after Cannes. SLP won a big prize at this festival.

Not just because I live here, but I personally think TIFF is more important (not bigger or more [prestigious) for many films. A lot of Oscar films really make a giant footprint here, not something you can say about Cannes as much now.

TIFF is de facto the MOST important Oscar prognosticator and launcher of them all. Cannes has different type of prestige but Oscar relevance isn`t one of them. OTOH, Oscar season really begins with TIFF.

I cannot believe JLaw is the same age as me would of been in my year in school so depressing i've achieve nothing in comparison lol!

And Lil Q is only 8.  She makes JLaw a failure in comparion.

How high can SLP go? After 4 months its PTA is still the third best this wknd. Now that the Oscar is behind us and bigger films are entering the market, will it stand a chance to reach 130+.?

130 is almost a lock.

It could crawl to nearly 135.

THE LAST EXORCISM: PART II weekend debut of $8M was less than what the original grossed on its opening day ($9.4M). That's scary.

But the unparalleled rise in Cinemascore compensates for BO failure. From freakin F to C-, that this rate thrid one will hit A.

May I frankensten make less than Phantom even with 3D and may its Cinemascore be F.

I think she is 9 and what a girl. Think if she won that night, ha! It would have been crazy for the little girl, i mean how do you top that, right? Glad she didn't and happy that JLaw is credit for her perfomance.

Lil Q coming back with Annie would be awesome. I hope the movie`s great. I don`t want the girl to be just a one hit wonder.

We are all meant for something and what you might contribute to the world one day could be far more important to the inhabitants of it than hers, so head up and march forward.

how come Oscar wins help for some movies, but not for others, for instance back in 2011, King's Speech had one its steepest drops after the Oscars

Competition, type of release (SLP is holding because of its slow roll out meaning it didn`t burn demand in first 2 weeks), type of a movie, economy.
