It's ok. There are some really good performances in it. Like, I don't hate Sean Penn, which is a rare thing.

I actually think Milk is a really fucking great film. Its informative, really well put together and at points very emotional. There's a fantastic performance from Sean Penn and the script is tight and never boring .Prior to seeing this biopic I had never heard of Harvey Milk, and after seeing it immediately I read a bunch more stuff about him and watched old interviews with him, and now I consider the dude one of my heroes. Its saddening and deplorable that this great man was murdered. 

 

I really enjoyed watching Milk, its a genuinely great movie, and I've seen it three times. One of the top 5 movies of 2008.

One of the problems with MILK (though something outside its control) is that the superb documentary THE LIFE AND TIMES OF HARVEY MILK covered the same ground years and years earlier, and MILK doesn't really bring anything new to the table.

Never saw the documentary, so all of the information in Milk was brand new to me.

This is an A- for me. Excellent film with fantastic performances (especially Penn).

Wonderful film!!! I love this film such a great movie.Penn and Franco are both greatt.

Yeah Franco is great in it too and should have been nominated instead of Brolin.

 

I love how everyone else camps it up a bit but Franco doesn't. Maybe the guy he played in real life wasn't very camp but I've always loved how Franco played him.

Let me guess: Tarzan also hates Indiana Jones (cuz he just wastes tax-payer money), ALIENS (cuz Ripley has an anti-corporate attitude), and TDK (because Batman is anti-gun).
