Trailers: The Bling Ring, The Hangover Part III, Disconnect, Pain & Gain

 

Movie: A truly wild ride. The large theater was about 70% full, and it seemed half the audience consisted of teen girls under 17. One group of girls who looked about 14 in front of me in line were escorted by someone's mom. They sure got a whole lot of shaking boobies and booties.

So...RichWS and Travod were at the exact same showing at the exact same theater.

The easiest A I ever handed out in my moving going existence. I was sold from the pap photos but the movie had some surprising layers. At first I thought it was gonna be like a Girls Gone Wild origin story about how Selena Gomez's church going chick turns into a rowdy slutty spring breaker but it expanded way beyond that. I also liked the irony of it. From the conversation the girls have with thier parents about how pleasant and wonderful everything is played over super slutty or violent montages was really funny. But my fave from that was the Britney Spears one, 

 

The cinematography, score, and soundtrack are immersive and amazing. Never was a big fan of Harmony's films before this but this is knockout. I doubt it will get much academy support but I hope Golden Globes can honor Franco with a supporting nod. He stole the show and brought some laughs with the over topness of his gangsta character. I also wasn't expecting to see Jeff Jarrett in there as a pastor. That was a pleasant surprise. Also to see that blonde chick from Glee! I haven't had this much fun in theater since Side Effects!
