TA1 got $3.7m OW, that would be a healthy improvement.

AoU opened on par with The Avengers in admissions but 30% better in gross due to the lack of discounts during its first week and the more expensive tickets. Following the same path of its predecessor it should end with around $23m. Next Friday is a holiday so it should hold pretty good even though the average ticket will be around 20% lower because of the discounts.

 

Fast 7 resisted well the arrival of the superheroes falling 52%. It should pass 3m admissions next Friday. It's already number 7 movie in history (since 1997) in admissions (number 6 this millennium, number 5 this decade) and number 4 in gross.

That should bring students back to the theaters. Run All Night and Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 open today but they won't be competition for the Superheroes. 

 

Furious 7 should pass 3m admissions today!!! And Cinderella should reach $5m also today. 

 

I must go now, AoU´s first showing at my local theater, here in Barcelona, starts in less than half an hour!!! I am so excited!!!

its good but it had holiday boost. Next weekend it will drop big for sure. So in Argentina its finishing below F7 for sure.

Yes. It is pretty good because many movie theaters were closed on Labor Day. Saturday was a very good day for AoU, it did almost the same as on Thu+Fri. It is always like this on normal weekends.
