Fast & Furious 7 won its 4th weekend. It passed Iron Man 3 to become the 3rd movie at the All-Time List

Probably FF7 will remain at #3 (or maybe #4 soon? ;) ) although could jump to #2 in admissions and pesos. Currency exchange fluctuation can wipe out almost US$1M overnight!

People are offended by everything now. There's nothing racist about what he said. Spanish isn't a race, it's a language. If he said it about a native German speaker using a second language no one would bat an eye, especially since it was compliment.

 

If we're talking offensive the use of the phrase "cultural genocide" in regards to movies is pretty fucking offensive to real cultural genocide that's occurred and is still occurring.

I agree 100% as a minority myself I think minorities take offence to easily and rather then getting upset we should work hard and be successful rather then constantly playing the victim and using it as an excuse! Of course many racist incident's go on across the world  but the PC brigade try and find it in everything these day's.

Massive numbers expected for TA2, @boxofficemexico posted on Twitter that it may have the biggest OW, #2 movie of the year by Saturday and the #1 by Thursday (!) Not sure how reliable this account is, but from what I've read online, pre-sales are humongous.

 

How is this possible? FF7 is around $50M. If TA2 gets close to $50M by next Thursday, it might be able to get close to 100M.

Passing FF7 ($50m) in just 1 week?? That would be so huge it's really hard to imagine! We'll see but that seems too good to be true :P

However I expect a really HUGE OW number, crushing the all-time record ($22.5m for FF7) and of course The Avengers ($17m).

I have the feeling The Avengers ($62m) will be beaten :wub:B)  Given it's a huge number for Mexico, and its highest-grossing movie, that would be FANTASTIC! Don't forget the exchange rates is pretty disandvantageous so it's all the more impressive!

It's a given TA2 will be the #2 movie by Sunday, heck even before that ... Friday is a bank holiday in Mexico so sky is the limit!

 

Does anyone have the OW daily stats for FF7? Did it do about $7M per day? TA2 will need an 4-day OW of over $35M ($8.75M per day, a high threshold) to possibly become the #1 movie by next Thursday. FF7 is going to drop a lot and may get stuck in the $50-52M total. Probably @boxofficemexico are being too optimistic, but you never know...
