It's a really solid adaptation of the book. And man, what a cast!

I haven't read the book but I thought this was a really good thriller with a great cast. Only big problem I had was the awful piano score that felt distracting and did not fit.

I watched it again and liked it even more and noticed many things I missed, but damn that score is really bad.  Also, I wish we had seen more of the whole conspiracy angle and actually see what happens to all the Firm members in the end.

I really wish I had fallen asleep watching The Firm. It was like watching my entire life being dragged out into an eternity right before my eyes. I tried to reach out and grab it so it would stop, but I was helpless. An agonisingly dull and unengaging "thriller".

I actually did fall asleep during my first watching of the movie way back when  not really due to the movie, or maybe partially due to the movie.

 

but even the parts I missed, I was able to figure out what happened when I woke up with about 10 minutes left.

 

Obviously, I enjoyed the movie more when I was able to see the full film.

 

Good cast.  Always like seeing Hackman in a filck
