So, more than IW, but less than TFA and EG. Hmm...I noticed the preview audience was more casual than a SW audience which makes me think we can get a shit ton of walk-ups like IW did. So, having the 2nd highest OW of all-time would not surprise me, and $250M is probably at play here. I don't see this going much lower than $240 if the preview number holds.

Maybe people learned after the fact, but then again, Harry didn't seem to know until the end of Spider-Man 2....or maybe he did but didn't know Norman had a secret lair until he broke the mirror. But, yah, it does seem like an oopsie or they didn't care because they needed a way to explain if the villains got sent back they would die. I do like though how by curing the villains that they have now opened it up to bring them back again in sequels...especially if we get more live-action Spider-Man multiverse movies.

Honestly, I think this film would have been much better if they went all out with the multiverse stuff and had Spider-Gwen, and other Peter Parkers and whatnot. Also, they teased at all the villains coming through the Multiverse and honestly that would have been one hell of a finale. Lizard is way underused. They should have just cut him from the movie altogether and focus on Doc Ock, Goblin, and Electro...or just go all out and do full Spider-Verse. I was happy though that Kevin Feige said fuck you to Sony Electro and made him fucking awesome instead of that disgrace we got in TASM2. Garfield was great in this. Tobey didn't look healthy and underweight and his performance was rocky. Honestly, they should have killed him off. It would have been a good send off, especially because his acting chops aren't what they once were. I know May died, and they probably didn't want to overdo the deaths. And, fuck, the whole spell thing sucks balls. With that said, can't wait for MoM.

Spider-Man Packed crowd No real actions until T&A showed up. Hood reactions for act 3. Not IW or EG level reactions. Someone said after the movie was alright. I think casual GA not into as much as hardcore MCU fans

I am going to say this, NWH is one of the hardest films opening to predict, and I say this as someone who has been into box office since I got into it the weekend the first Spider-Man opened with $114M. Under normal times, the presales would indicate a potential $300M opening (they still do, but unlikely). However, presales are more frontloaded. Some families and older people just aren't going back to theaters. And, we now have another Covid variant. Plus, there is a worker shortage which could impact showtimes and also some theaters closed for good during the pandemic. Regardless, this will still open massively, but I honestly have no idea if it opens to $200M, $300M or somewhere in-between. I will say this, I expect legs to be strong because I think two actors will appear in this film and once that confirmation spreads a lot of people will go see it second weekend. At least, that's my thoughts. -
I honestly think they gave up on their HBO MAX movies. If it's not a DC property, they just aren't going to promote it. Anyway, I missed the original in theaters. I saw Reloaded and Revolutions on opening night. I'm a huge fan of the franchise, but I also truly stand by my potential $10M OW. Spider-Man is going to slaughter this and WB doesn't seem to be spending much ad money to spend this. I don't know a single person outside box office forums who even knows this is coming out. Maybe, I'm wrong. I guess I can see it doing double my $10M and getting $20M OW, but this film wasn't setup to succeed.

So, any chance Sony will announce what the first 24 hours of presales were like? -
My predictions count, right? The copy paste was not working when I tried on mobile. Also, do you get a month of gold for each prediction you get right. Just asking because I believe I have the the highest predictions in all categories, and if NWH meets or exceeds that, then that means I win, right? Actually, someone has a $270M total. I missed that.
