Where did he imply that either was horrendous? Interstellar was a smash, and Edge of Tomorrow, while probably not profitable, wasn't a huge money loser.
There's nothing like Spongebob. It's so frenetic, crazy, and innocent without being childish, sentimental, or saccharine. It's also a lot more clever than a bunch of people give it credit for.
Considering how much kinetic energy and style that this movie had, it should have been better. If you can get past how overwhelmingly stupid this was, you'll enjoy it. But I just couldn't. The premise, the philosophy, ScarJo turning into an omnipotent computer and travelling back in time... Just so hilariously stupid.
MM was the standout. Chastain was solid. Hathaway was meh.
I honestly really liked Damon. He played cowardly very well imo. A scenery-chewer.would've telegraphed his transition too obviously.
Cal seems really mad that people are liking this.
For me, it was a mixed bag, but more things worked than didn't work. Once Damon was introduced, it was dynamite. Some of the best stuff I've ever seen in a blockbuster.

We have the Way Back machine, so even if it is shut down for good (which seems probable considering this is exactly how they handled forumsgate), the data wouldn't be lost, right?
