  1. I think Spidey is so mocked now because he is so loved.
  2. Tele is totally trolling. Godzilla was fun but I couldn't see it being a classic any day of the week.Goddamn it the party is winding down
  3. I need more Godzilla #s. Breakouts are fucking awesooooooooome
  4. Fucking Lotso. One of the most evil bastards in film history. (I'm still.drunk BTW)
  5. I'm drunk right now but holy fucking shit Godzilla is doing well
  6. The Matrix is still one of my favorite movies ever, and while the Wachowski's are always hit or miss it seems, I was originally looking forward to JA but the closer we get to release the less interested I get. It looks like another CGI infested clusterfuck. It's a shame, I really loved the ambition that was in Cloud Atlas and I was hoping it would transfer over.
  7. Wow based off of Rth's numbers $90-95 million is pretty much a lock with $100 million definitely possible. I have to say I'm glad so many people are giving this film a chance.
  8. Fantastic start for Neighbors. Should definitely clear $150 million with ease, even with the upcoming competition. I'm expecting it to fall somewhere in the $190-205 million range. ASM2 took a hard hit, and it's actuals will probably be even lower. I can't see this doing more than $215 million at the most now. It will probably make it to $200 million, but will probably finish with less than, say, Batman Begins. Cap should make it past The Lego Movie sometime in the next couple of weeks to claim the highest grossing film of 2014.
  9. Especially if (when) both of those films breakout big time.
  10. I was so fucking pissed when they closed our Golden Corral and replaced it with some wannabe buffet.
  11. I heard we were talking about porn and I just really wanted to be a part of the conversation.
  12. I think Spidey will drop 55% against Godzilla (Same drop as Thor against PotC on the same weekend) and possibly another 50% against X-Men.
  13. Great for Neighbors. Too early to tell if this ends up with a Ted-like run or a Hangover run but either way still ridiculously good. And man ASM2 might actually miss $20 million, assuming Sony doesn't do some major fudging.
  14. I showed Pulp Fiction to one of my roommates for the first time today. I think it might be his new favorite movie.
  15. So... $8.7 million previews/opening night. $26.8 million Friday minus said previews. I'm thinking for the rest of the weekend- Sat - $30.9 million (+15% for matinee's. It's still Spider-Man, so yeah the family factor should be big) Sun - $22.5 million (-27%) $88.9 million opening weekend.
  16. ASM2 won't even top SM1's opening day from 12 years ago unadjusted. Honestly it kind of makes me sad that a Spidey film is performing so low.
  17. I really hope Tomorrowland breaks out and makes into the top 5 domestic or something. With pretty much every top tier franchise right now having a movie that year that would probably require a $300 million minimum gross. In a year filled with even more sequels, adaptations, and reboots it would be great to see an original film stand its ground.
  18. This. Spirits Within is really Final Fantasy in name only. Its sad. Most of the games (especially the older ones) actually have some really great and well crafted stories and plots they could have based this on.
  19. This movie holds a huge spot in my childhood. I actually watched the VHS to this so many times it broke and we had to buy another. I had several Woody and Buzz toys, and I think I probably had most characters in the movie at one point. :PToy Story is a simple buddy film told with so much heart and wit, and the relationship and development of Woody/Buzz really make that something special. I think what helps make them so great is how incredibly realistic their feelings/personalities are. Woody's sense of jealousy and fear of being replaced, to Buzz's initial pride. With that, Pixar crafted the two most believable/ relatable animated characters ever, and it was just made better by Hanks and Allen's great performances.Best animated movie ever. To infinity and beyond/5 stars.
  20. I think this is probably Bay's best film. Its a lot of high energy fun and spectacle, and I think this one shared the human cast and the Transformers evenly well in the film. It has a lot of rewatch value, and it looks freaking amazing on Blu Ray. This movie OWNED summer 2007.4.5/5
