  1. The beginning of Episode 2 (Season 2) had some of the most gruesome scenes I've ever seen on network television.
  2. Helms Deep and Pelennor fields have been mentioned so I'll go with: Battle of Black Gate Gandalf vs the Nazgul
  3. Please stop quoting firedeep and that Nevada guy. It's bypassing my ignore button.
  4. Your IM is too low IMO...kids are on spring break. $41-46m
  5. The 300 sequel was never going to come close to the first one. For me this is up there with Lone Survivor's wide release and The Lego Movie as a major 2014 box-office surprise. The previews absolutely suck and we've been inundated with copycats over the last 7 yrs. Plus, the original cast is largely absent from this one. Yet, it will manage to make $40-50m OW and definitely finish north of $100m. *applause*
  6. I thought this had to do with Twitch plays Pokemon when I saw the title on the right.
  7. Road - great cinematography, some of the best work I have seen by a child actor. Hunt for Red October - oldie but very goodie, although I wish Connery had tried faking a Soviet accent.
  8. I thought the movie would absolutely bomb so anything above $25m is a

  11. Jaws is a movie about a shark who keeps throwing up people until they have to open up a beach.
  12. Watch Cinderella backwards and it's about a woman who learns her place.
  13. I finally saw Aladdin. Great movie! Lion King Aladdin Frozen Beauty and the Beast Little Mermaid
  14. I can't believe I created this thread. Silly topic.
  15. Here's my take: Perhaps the early "Jedi" were mystics in less civilized systems. In the more advanced population centers closer to the core Force-users were not as visible. Gradually over time, governments of the less civilized systems began to formally recognize their powers. Hired on as advisers, these mystics began to refine their understanding of the Force and the powers they came with it. As their roles expanded into diplomatic and security responsibilities (much like samurai), their exposure increased. A few minor wars and skirmishes, where their involvement proved decisive, accelerated this notoriety. The Republic, recognizing their benefit, created an Order, with a physical presence located on Coruscant. Here their diplomatic and military skills could be exploited to the Republic's advantage. In return, the Order was given a haven to learn more about the living force, embark on missions to recruit others, and help bring peace to a confederated galaxy. As the organization matured, a rift occurred over (FILL IN THE BLANK). A detachment of force-users broke away and formed a independent group. Bereft of exposure to the accumulated wisdom and training provided by the Order, these force-users succumbed to the dark side and called themselves, Sith.
